Let’s go on a tour of my homeschool planner. I am thrilled how mine turned out after I bound it together and decorated it with some washi tape. Who doesn’t love a little washi decor?! Let’s start with the cover. I chose to use the pastel colored planner this year. (The bold option is super pretty to though.)

I used my Swingline ProClick to bind my planner. I use my ProClick so much for school stuff because the spine opens and closes with a click allowing you to add or take away pages easily.

In my planner I have included the following things:

1. Title Page and Habit Tracker where I have written out our family’s homeschool purpose statement and I am keeping track of certain habits we need to work on like remembering to say thank you and picking up after ourselves and as a reminder for all of us to drink more water.

2. The Goal/Dream Page and School Year Checklist allows me to put all of my thoughts and dreams down on paper and declutter my brain. When I write down everything that floods my thoughts it produces better productivity. “Brain Dumping” is a good exercise to make a habit.

3. The Memory Keeper and Student Spotlight pages are going to make wonderful keepsakes that we can look back on for years to come. I plan to write down funny things that my kids say, do, and think. I also want to use this to record special trips, activities, and special things that occur during our year. I can’t wait to hear all of my kids answers in their student spotlight section. I know it will be a fun exercise to do with them and something that can help me know how to challenge them throughout the year.

4. The Track Your Year blank calendars are going to help me schedule out what weeks we will be doing school and which weeks we will be taking breaks.

5. The Resource Locker, Curriculum Budget, and the Homeschool Website Log are helpful pages that are going to help me stay on track and not forget important information.

6. The Quarter at a glance page, Monthly Plan Overview, and Supply/Resource List pages are going to help me see what’s ahead and help me not feel overwhelmed. I can gather and prep ahead if I know what is coming, creating a less stressful environment for me.

7. The Attendance Tracker, Grade Keeper, and Curriculum Log are pages that are going to help me keep track of information that I need to turn in for our homeschool state requirements. At the end of the year I will have it all written out in one place and ready to share when needed.

8. The Monthly Plan Overview, Lesson Plans for the Week, Daily Plan, Weekly Timetable, Weekly Overview Planner pages are all resources that are going to help me plan the details. Details like what our month looks like, what lessons we need to cover each week and what we actually get accomplish on a daily basis. These pages will also help me make sure I am prepared to teach everyday with the correct curriculum and supplies on hand.

9. The Unit Study Guide and Field Trip Planner pages are going to be so helpful when I have specific topics that we want to study. I will be able to keep all of the details of our outings in one place as well as other details that will help us dig dip into our desired field of study.

10. I think the Student Reading Log and Family Read A-loud Log pages are some of my favorite pages because we are such a strong literature-based learning family. These pages are also going to help us keep a running list of books each of our children have read in preparation for their college application. The fun part for the kiddos is they get to be a book critic and give the books they read a star review after completing each one.

11. The last pages are the Extracurricular Tracker, Outsourced Class Organizer, and Lined and Bulletin Journal Notes Pages. I am super excited about these pages because we do participate in a lot of extracurricular activities and I need a way to keep all the facts straight. Our children also have outsourced classes that they need to keep track of important information for and this will be the place we keep all of that straight. The note pages are extra space for me to write down any extra information that I need to keep track of during our homeschool days.

That’s the tour. I hope you enjoyed seeing my planner and how I plan to use it this year. If you would like to buy a copy of it, check out my shop.

I would love to hear your thoughts and see what you think about the planner. If you purchase it, I would love to see your finished planner. Take a picture and tag me on social media so I can see it in action.
